Palmer: Branded POP Product Design

This series of images shows branded graphics applied to renderings or photographs of POP products that I designed. However, some of these products are purchased and rebranded as part of the Palmer product options. Palmer used this method to present customized design decks to multiple clients, showcasing a set of branded products. The splash page depicts a fraction of those items featured in magazine ads that I created and ran as part of my job.
Interactive MUSE Mini Blue Tooth Speaker Display:
I designed and prototyped this acrylic display for MUSE music. The design features a clear acrylic message area with a printed filler graphic on the back. This way, if the header card was removed, the product would still be supported with a background graphic. The base required a switch to enable customers to activate the product, and it had a removable panel for accessing the wiring and sound card inside the base.
Shape Light:
A "shape light" is a 3D design that includes a logo or other brand-related elements to produce a dimensional and fully illuminated product with a unique appearance and feel. I created this design for Bud Light, with the actual product shown.
Table Tents:
I have created numerous branded, laser-cut, heat-bent, and other themed acrylic table tents. This particular design was a real attention-grabber, featuring a miniature bottle mounted in the base and complemented by its sturdy base and inset graphic area. Prototype indicated.
Coors Football Table Tent:
I integrated the laser-cut bottle concept with an injection-molded base to infuse the Coors beer/Super Bowl theme into the table tent providing a branding area on the 3D base for the Coors Football sponsorship graphic. This is an actual product sample in the photograph. There was also a second run featuring a chrome football base.
BRANDED ICE BUCKET WITH UPDATABLE GRAPHIC:
Below is a picture of a pre-fabricated “brand-able” ice bucket with a removable clear cover. For Pop items like this one, I would create a template and apply custom branding and graphic elements using Photoshop.
Western Union Forms Holder:
I designed an injection-molded forms holder for Western Union at Palmer. I worked on the design, determined its final size, and included adjustable pocket dividers. The holder features a dimensional header with Western Union graphics and a poster holder that can be updated. The actual product is indicated.
Snap Frame Light Box:
One of the many light boxes made by Palmer, this product features a snap frame border, allowing store owners the option of updating the graphic more or less on the fly. The graphic was created using elements provided by the client in Photoshop and Illustrator. My graphic was used in production.
Cream And Sugar Countertop Display:
This design is seen in hundreds of gas stations and convenience stores all over the country. It has been in use for years and has evolved through several design iterations. The actual product is indicated. I created this design for production in Illustrator.
Embossed Metal Tackers:
I designed dozens of beverage tackers for every beverage vendor Palmer had, and very often the concept design became the production design. This concept tacker design was the first of its kind, featuring two layers and neon sconce lighting behind the Bacardi bottle. The actual product is indicated.
Jumbo Menu Board 2000:
This proprietary Palmer Promotional Product is sold in large quantities. It's another one of the many prefabricated POP items offered by Palmer, as further detailed below. For each assigned potential client, I would gather graphic assets, create header compositions, and illustrate any other functions, such as an illuminated writing surface and header area. The actual product is indicated.
Wall Mounted Cooler Shape Light:
As an idea for my presentation deck, I created a 3D cooler design to showcase the product illuminated in context, along with a header with updatable price channels. This item went to production. The actual product is indicated.
Branded Serving Tray:
I repurposed a vendor's clock form, by incorporating a shot glass carrier into the clock face cavity with recessed pockets and branding on the glasses, the insert, and the bezel. The actual product is indicated.
Branded Mirrors:
Palmer created numerous branded mirrors. For this design, I incorporated the mirror's wood frame into the logo. The actual product is shown.
Neon Clock:
This Photoshop composition was included in a design deck for Mike's Hard Lemonade and showcased the logo along with a complementary yellow neon. This is a Photoshop composition of a popular clock POP form purchased by Palmer.
International Delight Creamer Tower:
This was my first acrylic creamer tower, a fairly common Palmer Product. These, and the others that came after, can still be seen every day across the country at gas stations and convenience stores. Most commonly available in clear acrylic or PETG, and black, or white styrene or Sintra.
Illuminated Menu Board With 3D Bottle:
I was tasked with integrating a 3D bottle into a cost-effective "Write-On" menu board. The bottle and menu board were printed on the second surface, and the body was vacuum-formed.
Double Bottle Illuminated Menu Board:
The single-bottle menu board version quickly evolved into a double-bottle design, offering product flexibility by displaying more than one product from the same brand. The bottles and menu board were vacuum-formed, and all bottle graphics were printed on the second surface.
3D Illuminated Bottle:
This is another example of a shaped light, this time designed to resemble a specific beer bottle with the actual bottle graphics printed on it. The illuminated bottle series sold very well.
Laser Cut Table Tent:
This was the first time I came up with and incorporated the shape of the bottle into this design to emphasize both the product and the message area.
Branded Mirror:
This was part of the Pilsner Urquell design deck. My concept graphic was used in the final production of this product.
Dimensional Tacker:
I designed a few of these for Palmer, this design was distinct because it featured a multi layer design on a radius.
"Thin-line" Menu Board With Illuminated Header:
This 1" thin design was part of the Palmer lineup, here is another an example of creating graphics and applying them to a product in Photoshop.
Branded Clock With Custom Graphic Base:
This clock features a custom branding area for personalizing the product. This design was part of the Palmer lineup and is another example of creating graphics and applying them to a product using Photoshop.
